The tree sprouts from the ground, and at this moment life begins. Later, leaves grow from the tree, and though they may become yellow and die and fall to the ground, eventually they will again give themselves to the earth to continue and support the circle of life.

<< L'ORPHELIN 孤兒>>一劇為創團作品,此劇曾於2010年在法國巴黎、意大利雷焦洛及克羅地亞普拉公開演出。此作品最終受當地報章及觀眾一致好評。2011年應邀參加第四屆臺北藝穗節Taipei Frank Festival,共演出六場,再受當地觀眾及劇評熱烈回響。


<< L'ORPHELIN 孤兒>> was the first creative artistic work of Theatre de la feuille. In 2010, it was toured in France (Paris),Italy (Reggoio)and Croatia (Pula), with positive reviews and audience feedback. One year later, <<L’Orphelin>> was invited by Taipei Frank Festival, for six performances, by local audience and theatre critics.

故事大綱

此劇改編自趙氏孤兒,故事敘述晉靈公武將屠岸賈僅因其與忠臣趙盾不和與嫉妒趙盾之子趙朔身為駙馬,竟殺滅趙盾家三百人,僅剩遺孤被程嬰所救出。屠岸賈下令將全國一月至半歲的嬰兒全部殺盡,以絕後患。程嬰遂與老臣公孫杵臼相討計策,後以犧牲公孫杵臼及程嬰之子為代價,成功保住趙氏最後血脈。二十年後,孤兒趙武長成,程嬰繪圖告之國仇家恨,武終報前仇。作品描寫了忠正與奸邪的矛盾衝突,揭露了權奸的兇殘本質,歌頌了為維護正義,捨己為人的高貴品質。

趙氏孤兒的故事兩千多年來流傳不絕。到元朝的時候,元曲作家紀君祥創作了五幕折子戲《趙氏孤兒》。後到十八世紀,法國啟蒙思想家伏爾泰(Voltaire, 1694-1778)將趙氏孤兒的故事改編為《中國孤兒》在巴黎上演,引起轟動。本團將運用各文化背景與表演方法不同之衝擊為優勢,在其中實驗並找尋創造劇場的可能性,來闡述中國經典故事。

Synopsis

L’orphelin is the story of The Orphan of Chao, the first of the epic Chinese histories to arrive in France, and translated into French. The story happened during the Warring State period in China, in the country of Qin. The family of Chao, for generations, have always been good assistant and loyal to the kingdom. However, Tu An-Ku, another assistant of the Emperor was jealous and wanted to get rid of the entire Chao family. 300 members of the Chao family was killed in one night, but the wife of Chao, who was the emperor’s sister, was pregnant at that time. She managed to escape and gave birth to a son in a tower, and two good friends of the Chao, Kung-suen & Ching- ying came up with an idea to save this orphelin of Chao’s family.
In order to save the orphan, there is an easy and a hard task, Kung-suen chose the easy one and Ching-ying was left with the hard one. Ching-ying also had a new born child at that time, and the son of Ching-ying was exchanged with the orphan of Chao to deceive Tu An-Ku, so he thought he has stopped the bloodline of Chao. Fifteen years later, the orphan of Chao, raised by Ching-ying, finally learnt the truth of his identity and took his revenge at Tu An-Ku.

十八世紀初《趙氏孤兒》傳至歐洲,在當時歐洲文壇造成轟動。
2010年,我們把這個故事再次帶到歐洲,在導演黃俊達帶領下連同五位來自不同國家 (加拿大、克羅地亞、意大利、韓國及瑞士)的演員一同創作。過程用了賈克.樂寇戲劇和中國傳統表演藝術手法 (戲曲及書法) ,探索如何在不同的文化與身體中找尋共同的語言主體。這年,我們把故事帶到法國、意大利及克羅地亞。

2011年,我們被邀請到臺灣《第四屆臺北藝穗節》跟臺灣觀眾分享我們的創作。這次五位演員都來是土生土長的香港人,加上戲曲及功夫訓練,我們通過中國傳統表演藝術尋找利用演員身體去創造劇場的可能性。

2012 年,我們希望把中西方演員集合在一起,通過硏究、訓練去尋找一個新的劇場語言。

In the early 18th Century, 《趙氏孤兒》arrived in Europe, and created a literacy sensation.

In 2010, under the direction of the artistic director Wong Chun Tat, the story was told in Europe again. Devised by 5 actors coming from different countries, (Canada, Croatia, Italy, Korea and Switzerland), many techniques of Jacques Lecoq as well as several Chinese performance traditions (Chinese Opera and Chinese calligraphy) were used in the process. These training techniques forced actors to break from their usual quotidian acting tics and habits that are too tied to their respective cultural contexts, and be in ensemble to tell the story. The piece was brought to France, Croatia and Italy.

In 2011, we received an invitation to 4th Taipei Frank Festival, Taiwan and we bring the story back to Asia, with actors who were all born and raised in Hong Kong. Chinese Opera and Kung Fu training were incorporated into the training of actors to explore our cultural roots in performance and possibilities with our bodies in storytelling.

In 2012, we hope to be able to work with a diverse group of actors, where the east and west will meet in creating and sharing the story, but more important, to create a new dialogue on physical theatre.
